Dave Blaney will make his first of two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) starts at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) this weekend. He will pilot the Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) No. 36 Golden Corral Chevrolet for the Lenox Industrial Tools 301.
TBR AT NEW HAMPSHIRE – TBR made four starts at NHMS in two years. Casey Mears drove to the team’s best start of 23rd and finish of 29th. Blaney drove the last start for TBR in the Fall 2010 race. He started 30th and finished 31st.
BLANEY AT NEW HAMPSHIRE – Blaney made 22 career starts at the mile track. The Hartford, Ohio native collected one pole, one top-10 and five top-15 finishes in his career. He won the pole in the summer of 2007 with TBR owner Tommy Baldwin as crew chief at Bill Davis. The pair also recorded Blaney’s best NHMS finish of ninth in the fall race in 2006. Blaney is ranked as the ninth best closer among current NSCS drivers at NHMS.
BALDWIN SUCCESS AT NEW HAMPSHIRE – NHMS is a special track for Baldwin. Baldwin began competing at the mile-track in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT). He collected three wins in his career, two in the NWMT with Steve Park and Jeff Fuller and one in the NSCS in 2002 with Ward Burton.
KIDS EAT FREE – TBR will compete to feed America’s families again this weekend, as Golden Corral returns to the No. 36 Golden Corral Chevrolet. If the No. 36 Golden Corral Chevrolet finishes in the top-10 in the Lenox Industrial Tools 301, kids eat free (with an adult purchase) on Monday, July 18th. Golden Corral will also donate $5,000 to the DAV.
ACCELL CONSTRUCTION – Accell Construction will return to the No. 36 Golden Corral Chevrolet as an associate sponsor. The Oklahoma-based company will also partner with TBR sister company Heinke-Baldwin Racing for the NWMT race on Saturday. TBR development driver Erick Rudolph will pilot the No. 98 Accell Construction/Tempo Graphics Chevrolet in the F.W. Webb 100.
AVA’S MOM FOUNDATION – The No. 36 Golden Corral Chevrolet will carry the Ava’s Mom Foundation logo this weekend at NHMS. Ava’s Mom Foundation is a charitable non-profit started by Vin Biscoglio in early 2011 after his wife, Ceil, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Ava’s Mom raises money for the American Cancer Society primarily through donations to Relay for Life. TBR has teamed up with Ava’s Mom for the Lenox Industrial Tools 301 to build awareness and raise funds as Ava’s Mom looks to develop scholarships for kids going to school for research and help individuals with insufficient insurance.
