James Buescher on driving at Chicagoland Speedway

“Chicagoland Speedway has proven to be one of the best tracks on the circuit. Turner Motorsports already has a win there this season when Justin Allgaier went to victory lane in the Brandt Chevy. We have been really working on our mile-and-a-half package. We struggled a little bit in Atlanta a couple weeks ago but I know [engineer] Hal [Ralston] and [crew chief] Michael [Shelton] have been spending a lot of time on the pull down machine trying new combinations.

“We need to keep our blinders on for the next ten weeks and continue to do what we have done all season which is focus on our race. We haven’t focused on what everyone else is doing which has allowed us to zone in on what works for us at Turner Motorsports. I am so proud of these guys and what we have accomplished as a group. We will continue to run our race and will see where we are when Homestead comes around.”
