(MOORESVILLE, NC) March 13, 2012 – Following a two week trip on the west coast, Jason Bowles and his American Majority Racing No. 81 team are really looking forward to a race more close to home. The results from the last two races do not show the speed the MacDonald Motorsports No. 81 had throughout the weekend and the team is hoping to turn that around this weekend at the “World’s Fastest Half-Mile” in Bristol, TN.
Jason on Bristol…..“I’ve never raced at Bristol, so it’s going to be interesting for sure. There are a lot of tracks on the schedule you circle in your mind as ones you want to say you’ve been to and raced well and this is definitely one of them. I’ll be leaning on my friends for some advice there, but it’s like any track, you have to experience it and race it for yourself.”
Jason’s thoughts on Vegas race…..“We had such a good weekend going. The car and team were all making progress through the practice sessions and obviously through qualifying, it was really positive and I think we all had hopes that the race would continue that direction. It didn’t; we struggled, the car was really loose pretty much out of the gates, but we were able to work on it and by the end of the race had a fast racecar. That’s the positive, it’s a lot like last week where we ended strong, but to run with the top-10 – they get out of the gate and go, so you can’t really spot them anything.”
“We also had some issues with the fuel delivery and that put us on pit lane and some laps down. Initially we thought it was an electrical problem, but in the end we changed carburetors and that seemed to fix it. We’ll know today what the real issue was, but either way it was just a long afternoon.
Come see us on Vendor Row…..American Majority will once again have a large display on vendor row this weekend in Bristol. Come on down and try out the racing simulators, see the No. 81 show car, have your picture taken and register to vote. Fans can also purchase American Majority Racing shirts and hats and will have the chance to meet Jason two separate times during the weekend. Bowles will be at the booth taking pictures and signing autographs Friday from 5:30 – 6:15PM and then again Saturday morning from 8:45 – 9:30AM.
Remembering fallen heroes….Jason and his American Majority Racing No. 81 team will be honoring our fallen military heroes this weekend in Bristol.
