Michael Annett on racing at Bristol Motor Speedway: “I can’t wait to get to Bristol this weekend. I really enjoy going to Thunder Valley and all the excitement that goes along with short-track racing. I’ve run well there in the past and had two top-10 finishes. This weekend is especially exciting because the speedway is close to Pilot’s headquarters in Knoxville, so it would be really great to see the Pilot Flying J car in Victory Lane on Saturday.”

Crew Chief Philippe Lopez’s Thoughts on Racing in Bristol: “Going to Bristol Motor Speedway is a like racing in a coliseum, it’s crazy to have that many cars on that high-banked, little half-mile track. Michael will have to be really smart and really aware of who he is racing and not put himself in any compromising situations, because a risky situation can turn into a bad deal in the blink of an eye at Bristol. Michael finished well there last year, and as long as he can stay out of trouble and keep the Pilot Flying J Ford relatively unharmed, we’ll be in good shape for a good run and finish this weekend.”

Chassis History: The No. 43 RPM NASCAR Nationwide Series team has prepared chassis No. 621 for the 300-lap race at Bristol Motor Speedway. This Pilot Flying J Ford Mustang is brand new to Richard Petty Motorsports this season.

Notes: Annett has six NASCAR Nationwide Series starts at Bristol Motor Speedway. His best finish (sixth) came in 2011 and his best start (13th) at the .533-mile track came in 2009. Annett heads to Bristol in the eighth position in the NASCAR Nationwide Series driver point standings.

Fun Fact: Michael is part Irish and his favorite holiday is St. Patrick’s day. If you look closely this weekend, you will see a shamrock on the back of his helmet and one on the back of his golf cart as well.
