Post-Qualifying Quotes

Dodge PR

Brad Keselowski (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger R/T) Qualified 17TH CAN YOU TALK ABOUT YOUR QUALIFYING LAP? “Obviously, Fontana is a lot different than Bristol and even though we ran well last weekend, we have to prove it again here at Fontana. Our Miller Lite Dodge is pretty good, but we could still use some speed.  This is a tricky place and you have to commit to the line that you’re going to run when you start your lap.  There are three different lines that you can run on this track and you have to pick the one that best fits your car. We’ve got some work to do.  We were strong in practice and just missed on our qualifying lap.”

A.J. Allmendinger (No. 22 Southern California  AAA Dodge Charger R/T) Qualified 25TH HOW WAS YOUR QUALIFYING LAP?  “Our AAA Charger was just a little too tight out there today.  I probably tried to get back on the gas a little early and scrubbed off some speed on my qualifying lap.”

YOU PICKED UP A TENTH OF A SECOND FROM PRACTICE BUT IT JUST WASN’T ENOUGH?  “Yeah, we picked up from practice, but not enough.  We certainly didn’t pick up speed like the guys ahead of us did, that’s for sure.  We’ll work to maximize our time in practice here tomorrow and see how it goes.  I like our AAA Dodge Charger this weekend; we just need to pick up a bit more speed.”
