Post-Race Quotes

Brad Keselowski (No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge Challenger R/T) Finished 3rd “We started off really strong and drove off to the lead.  Things were looking really good and we had a great day going.  I had some pit stop trouble where I slid through the (pit) box a little bit and got pushed back a little bit.  I drove back to the front and up until that last caution was running second.

“On the last restart, it was just good racing. Joey (Logano) and the guys just closed the deal out.  I had a strong run all day, just needed a little more.

“A solid day for everyone on this Discount Tire team.  We moved back up to the front there at the end, but just needed a little bit more to run with Joey.  He was very, very strong just like the 6 car, Ricky Stenhouse Jr.  I certainly want to get a win.  We came up a little bit short today.  There were some things that I could have done a little bit better to get a win, but it just didn’t work out.”

IT SEEMED LIKE THINGS GOT A LITTLE CRAZY ON THAT LAST RESTART; HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE IT? “Yeah, sure, that’s always the way it’s going to be when you’ve got cars in front without tires, cars behind with tires.  That’s just good, hard racing.  I gave Joey a good push and helped him get the win a little bit earlier, or get to the lead a little bit earlier.  I got in the 60 (Trevor Bayne) just a little bit there.  I was there and he came down a little bit.  It wasn’t anything terrible.  I hope he’s all right with it.  The Nationwide cars put on an awesome show here, the way they draft and get around here.  This is one of the best races of the year for the Nationwide Series and I’m glad to be a part of it.”

SAM HORNISH Jr. (No. 12 Alliance Truck Parts Dodge Challenger R/T) Finished 13th “We almost pulled one off today in the Alliance Truck Parts Dodge.  We got track position late and just couldn’t take advantage of it on the restart.  We opted for two tires versus four late coming down pit road.  Sometimes works, sometimes it doesn’t.  We lost the balance of the car a bit after we made a slight air pressure adjustment and never really got the total balance back.”
