GREENFIELD TO MAKE A COMEBACK IN CHARLOTTE: With only two starts in the 2012 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, and one DNF, Clay Greenfield comes to Charlotte optimistic.  The daunting feat of running a truck team out of pocket was the only reason he was unable to start in Rockingham and Kansas.  However, don’t count Clay Greenfield out.  His Daytona performance was impressive with a career best 10th finish after avoiding several crashes and bringing his No. 68 Dodge across the finish line after three green white checkers.  He went on to Martinsville but due to sway bar failure, Clay had to park the truck after completing just 151 of 250 laps landing him in 31st place.

Greenfield heads to Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend with a great truck and his head held high.  He is looking forward to getting his truck on Charlotte’s famed fast track and pushing for another great finish and a boost in the NCWTS point standings.

THOUGHTS FROM THE DRIVER:  # 68 CLAY GREENFIELD

ON DAYTONA AND MARTINSVILLE: “Daytona was an awesome start to the season for us.  We had to qualify in and beat out eight other trucks.  We did it and started 26th.  On the last restart we were sixth but I didn’t have a drafting partner so I fell back to 10th at the finish.  It was cool to finish in the top 10 at Daytona and receive the Featherlite Most Improved Driver Award. Definitely something I will never forget.”

“When we headed to Martinsville I felt good about our chances.  We had to qualify on time and I was able to qualify and start our truck 29th.  During the pace laps I felt like we may have a tire going down.  Come to find out it was an issue with the sway bar.  I tried to battle with it as long as I could but eventually I had to park it after 151 laps. It was disappointing.”

ON CHARLOTTE MOTOR SPEEDWAY: “I am really excited about Charlotte.  All of the veteran drivers will be there for the All-Star race and I am hopeful we can take our truck out there and perform well like I know we can.  It’s tough running this team without a sponsor but I am proud of what we have been able to accomplish on our own.  Just think of how much better we can do with a sponsor.  Let’s make a deal!”
