Pit Notes #6: Patriotic Paint Schemes on Parade for Coca-Cola 600
As usual, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series has numerous cars decked out with special red, white and blue colored paint schemes for the Memorial Day weekend Coca-Cola 600.
Among those adorned with patriotic colors are the red, white and blue flag design of the No. 29 Chevrolet of Kevin Harvick promoting ‘Folds of Honor’ for sponsor Budweiser.
The Miller Lite No. 2 Dodge of Brad Keselowski features a blue and white with red trim colors.
Juan Pablo Montoya also sports a red and white with blue stripe design on his No. 42 Target Toyota.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. has a red, white and blue paint scheme for the National Guard color on his No. 88 ‘American Salute’ Chevrolet. His Hendrick Motorsports teammate, Jimmie Johnson, will also drive a patriotic scheme in his No. 48 Chevrolet.
Others sporting the red, white and blue colors are Bobby Labonte and his No. 47 Kingsford Charcoal Toyota; Kyle Busch; the No. 18 M&M’s Toyota and No. 56 NAPA Toyota of Martin Truex Jr.
Sporting a special blue and white design with stars are the Fastenal Fords of Roush/Fenway teammates No. 99 Carl Edwards, No. 17 Matt Kenseth and No. 16 Greg Biffle.
Also featured are the armed forces cars No. 43 Aric Aimirola in the Air Force sponsored Ford, and the No. 39 US ARMY Chevrolet of Ryan Newman.
Another driver sporting a special color is the Burger King No. 83 of Landon Cassill with a pink ‘Real Fruit Smoothies’ Toyota. Jeff Burton also has an orange and black color to his No. 31 Chevrolet with Wheaties as sponsor.
