Chris Lucas and Preston Brust’s unique style that blends soul, rock, funk, hip-hop and gospel with contemporary country sparked the duo’s wide range of hits from the upbeat “C.O.U.N.T.R.Y,” “Here Comes Summer,” and “You Got Me” to the heartfelt “Keep In Mind” from their This is How We Do It collection.
The charismatic tandem that joined forces in Nashville, Tenn.’s famous Wildhorse Saloon also teamed with fellow singing and songwriting powerhouse Jaren Johnston to pen the smash single “You Gonna Fly” that Keith Urban propelled to No. 1.
“We promised our fans a major-league entertainment lineup throughout our tripleheader NASCAR weekend and the LoCash Cowboys certainly are a welcome addition to a day that also includes Chris Young in concert on our prerace frontstretch stage,” Kentucky Speedway General Manager Mark Simendinger said.
The speedway also will feature regional entertainers Altered, the Dallas Moore Band, five13 Band, JetSetGetSet, Naked Karate Girls and Second Chance at Eden along with a wide array of attractions including a zipline, tire change challenge and dueling NASCAR racecars in addition to strolling balloon artists, face painters, magicians, fire jugglers and stilt walkers during the three-day stretch.
The “Quaker State 400” anchors a blockbuster weekend of action that opens Thursday, June 28 with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series “UNOH 225” and continues Friday, June 29 with the NASCAR Nationwide Series “Feed The Children 300.”
