BRISTOL, Tenn. (Monday, Aug. 6, 2012) — Before cars take to the track at Bristol Motor Speedway, race weekend kicks off with the 14th Annual Speedway Children’s Charities Golf Tournament presented by Baker’s Construction Services at Tri-Cities Golf Course on Aug. 20.
One of the Bristol Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities largest fundraisers each year, the tournament sets the tone for a week of unparalleled racing action which takes place at the World’s Fastest Half-Mile later in the week.
The tournament, which features a four-person captain’s choice format, begins at noon with a shotgun start. Companies may purchase a team, as well as sponsor a hole for $750, or for $600 without a hole sponsorship. A sponsorship includes the company’s sign on the tee or hole, four players, cart and green fee and a goody bag, along with lunch (provided by Chick-fil-A), dinner (provided by Levy Restaurants) and beverages.
Individuals who would like to participate in the tournament may sign up for $150. This includes one player with cart and green fees, as well as a goody bag, lunch, dinner and beverages.
Players will have the chance to win $5,000 on the hole-in-one challenge, along with other prizes. Along with Baker’s Construction Services, HVAC and Pepsi have joined SCC to make the tournament, which begins at noon with a shotgun start, possible.
To sign up for the tournament, please contact Betsy Holleman at (423) 989-6975 or via email at betsy@bristolmotorspeedway.com.
The Bristol Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities, non-profit organization, has raised in excess of $6.5 million over the last 14 years for children’s agencies in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.
