Jimmie Johnson to participate in free question-and-answer session before Sept. 30 race in Dover

DOVER, Del. – As part of the ever-growing list of fan activities for the Sept. 28-30, 2012 race weekend at Dover International Speedway, Jimmie Johnson will now be participating in a free question-and-answer session on the Monster Monument, at 11:15 a.m. prior to the Sept. 30 “AAA 400” NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.

The Q&A is part of a growing tradition at the Monster Mile to host the most recent race winner on the Monster Monument for fans. It is free for all ticket holders to the Sept. 28-30, 2012 race weekend.

Johnson, driver of the No. 48 Lowe’s Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports, has been dominant throughout his career at Dover. By winning the June 3 “FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks” NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, he tied both Richard Petty and Bobby Allison on the all-time wins list at the Monster Mile with seven. The five-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion will discuss that record and much more during his Q&A.

Following the event, Johnson and the rest of the field will take to the track for 400 miles of exciting action in the Sept. 30 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. Johnson will be looking for his record-setting eighth Dover win and sixth championship in seven years, as the event serves at race No. 3 in the 10-race Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.

In addition, the tripleheader weekend features the Sept. 28 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race and the Sept. 29 “OneMain Financial 200” NASCAR Nationwide Series race.
