Venezuelan Star to Make NASCAR Debut aboard G-OIL(R) Toyota at Watkins Glen NNS

Celebration, FL., August 10, 2012—G-OIL is pleased to announce that Alex Popow will make his NASCAR debut driving the #19 G-OIL Toyota Camry at this weekend’s NASCAR Nationwide Series event at Watkins Glen International, New York.

A native of Venezuela currently racing in North America, Popow has a 2012 Grand Am Series win at Indianapolis Motor Speedway racing in the Brickyard Grand Prix on July 27 and won the 2012 American Le Mans Series PC class at both Sebring and Long Beach. He currently is 1st in the ALMS PC class Championship.

“Alex has shown plenty of talent and success on road courses this year and, with Green Earth Technologies expanding our distribution in South America, including Venezuela, it seemed like a natural fit,” said Jeffrey Loch, President & CMO of Green Earth Technologies. “We’ll have the pleasure of watching him behind the wheel of the #19 G-OIL Toyota Camry as he makes his first NASCAR start at one of America’s classic road courses.”
