Mike Wallace picks up SB Ballard Construction sponsorship for Richmond race

GAFFNEY, S.C. (September 6, 2012) – Mike Wallace and the No. 01 Chevrolet team of JD Motorsports w/Gary Keller picked up a primary partner for this Friday night’s NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Richmond International Raceway.

SB Ballard Construction has signed on to adorn the team’s Chevrolet at the .75-mile oval of RIR. A commercial builder with offices in Richmond and Virginia Beach, Va. who has been in business for 34 years, the company has backed Wallace in several other races through the years.

The most noteworthy was when Wallace won the 2004 July race at Daytona International Speedway This weekend; they’ll have their name and logo on Wallace’s car under the lights hoping again for great results.

“We have backed Mike before and wanted to help him, and the team, again this weekend at Richmond,” said Steve Ballard, owner of SB Ballard Construction. “He’s been a good friend for years, my family really likes him as a person and we love to watch him race.

“I have met Johnny Davis (primary owner of JD Motorsports) and his whole team is a hard working bunch who comes to race. We’re a hard working company just like his, and that’s why I felt it was important to be part of their team’s effort this weekend.

“We’ve been in business for more than three decades and I know what’s it takes to get the job done successfully. Me and my family will be there cheering Mike and the team on, and we look forward to being part of JD Motorsports in Richmond.”
