Fordham and Dominion Brewing Co. announce Craft Brew Pub at the Monster Mile for Sept. 28-30 race weekend

Pub to offer a variety of beer brewed fresh in Dover

DOVER, Del. – Dover International Speedway is teaming up with the Fordham and Dominion Brewing Co. to present the first-ever Craft Brew Pub at the Monster Mile during the Sept. 28-30, 2012 NASCAR race weekend.

The Craft Brew Pub will offer race fans a new variety of local, fresh brews during their time at the Monster Mile with four featured, and locally brewed, beers on tap, including Fordham’s Helles Lager and Copperhead Ale, and Dominion’s Octoberfest and Oak Barrel Stout.

Jim Lutz, president and CEO of the brewery, said the partnership between the breweries and the Monster Mile was a natural one and will give race fans the opportunity to experience some of the great beers the First State has to offer.

“The Fordham and Dominion Brewery is less than four miles from the Monster Mile,” Lutz said. “It made great sense for us to partner with Dover International Speedway to promote both of our local brands. We look forward to introducing folks to an easy going, craft beer that is brewed in their own backyard.”

“We’re always looking for new ways to enhance the race weekend experience for our fans, and the partnership with Fordham and Old Dominion is another way for us to do that,” said Michael Tatoian, executive vice president and COO for Dover Motorsports, Inc. “Featuring the Craft Brew Pub at the Monster Mile will allow our fans to get a taste of Dover during their stay.”

To learn more about the featured beers for race weekend, as well as all of the others the breweries have to offer, visit www.FordhamBrewing.com or www.OldDominion.com. This new offering will be set in a comfortable, tented area in Victory Plaza, near the Monster Monument, presented by AAA. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. throughout race weekend.

NASCAR returns to Dover International Speedway Sept. 28-30, 2012 for the Sept. 30 “AAA 400” NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, the Sept. 29 “OneMain Financial 200” NASCAR Nationwide Series race and the Sept. 28 “American Real TV 150” NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race.
