Kenseth on racing at Kansas Speedway:

“They did a really nice job with the repave at Kansas Speedway. They put a little bit more banking in it and the track was really smooth when we went out there for our test. It reminded me a lot of Las Vegas after they changed that track. I’m not sure if they did or not, but it seems like they narrowed up the groove a lot, especially in Turn 1. As much as they have been dragging tires and getting everyone out on the track at Kansas, I think it will be good for this weekend’s racing.”

Crew chief Jimmy Fennig on racing at Kansas Speedway:

“We’re bringing a brand new car with us this weekend to Kansas. We participated in a tire test on this new surface, but we also have two extra days on track this week to get ready for this weekend. We have a few ideas that we’re going to try and see what ends up being the best to put into our car for this weekend. It’s a whole different track now but I have a feeling that we’ll see the cars start out slow, but as more rubber builds into the track, the faster they’ll go and more grip they’ll have.”
