Toyota Racing Dream Build Challenge Fan Voting Begins

TORRANCE, Calif. (Oct. 18, 2012) — The Toyota Racing Dream Build Challenge — a vehicle-modification build competition where fans will determine the winner among four Toyota Racing drivers who are competing for charity — is giving fans a chance to win too when they finally get to see the completed vehicles unveiled on the Dream Build website this Saturday, Oct. 20.

Fans can login to www.toyotaracingdreambuild.com and Facebook to vote for their favorite Dream Build Challenge team and register to win the Toyota Racing Dream Trip Grand Prize from Oct. 20 to 29. Fans can also feel good casting their votes because the winning charity will take home $50,000 and second-place receives $25,000, while third-place gets $15,000 and fourth-place receives $10,000. In addition, fans can register for their own opportunity to win daily prizes are in the sweepstakes.

The Dream Build challengers are NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship-contender Clint Bowyer, who is building an ultra-high-tech Prius; NHRA Top Fuel points-leader Antron Brown and his drag-racing-inspired Sequoia; NASCAR Sprint Cup Series superstar Kyle Busch, who is developing a road-racing-styled Camry; and NHRA Funny Car phenom Alexis DeJoria, who is transforming a Tundra into a virtually race-ready desert ‘pre-runner.’

The lucky fan who wins the Toyota Racing Dream Trip Grand Prize will have their choice of a NASCAR or NHRA grand prize package. The NASCAR edition of the Grand Prize will include two grandstand tickets, two NASCAR ‘hot passes’ and a $1,500 American Express gift card. If the winner prefers an NHRA race, the Grand Prize will feature two general event tickets for select NHRA races with pit hospitality access, event parking and a $1,500 American Express gift card, in addition to a meet-and-greet with one or more Toyota driver(s).

Additionally, once per day during the voting period, a fortunate fan will take home a $100 American Express gift card. Daily winners can also be featured on the Toyota Racing Dream Build Challenge home page at their discretion.

Voting for the Toyota Racing Dream Build Challenge will conclude at midnight on Monday, October 29, and the final votes will be tallied in the early morning hours prior to the announcement of the winning vehicle.

Television analyst and Top Gear U.S. edition co-host Rutledge Wood will announce the winner of the Toyota Racing Dream Build Challenge during Toyota’s press conference at the SEMA show in Las Vegas on Tuesday, October 30, at 11:00 AM (PDT). Fans will be able to tune in live online via Livestream to watch the entire press conference and see the winner announced in real time.
