Jason on Phoenix: “Phoenix is really a challenging track. You have two completely different ends of the track so you have to deal with that when setting up your truck. It is crucial to get through Turns 3 & 4 and get a good run down that long front stretch. The track offers plenty of racing room and that provides some great side by side racing. This will be our first time there since they have repaved the track so that provides a little of an unknown with the impact it will have on these trucks. There has been some testing there and we are gathering as much information as we can from those folks.”

“While I enjoy going to the desert and racing at Phoenix, I have not had the best of luck out there. Out of my previous four races, I have experienced engine failures twice. We did have a solid run last year for a top-10 finish and I look forward to improving on that this week.”

Jason at Phoenix: This will mark Jason’s 5th career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at the Phoenix track. His best finish was tenth in this race last season. He has an average starting position of 20.8 in those previous four events with an average finish of 23.8.

Race Rewind: Coming off a tough short track battle last week, Jason White had his sights set on conquering Texas Motor Speedway as the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season winds down. However, a loose handling condition on his No. 23 GunBroker.com / Grime Boss Ford F-150 relegated White to a tough 19th place finish in the running of the WinStar World Casino 350k at the 1.5-mile Texas speed plant. Before an estimated crowd of 55,000, White started the 147-lap event from the 20th position as a result of his qualifying effort earlier in the day. Much like the two practice sessions the day before, the No. 23 Ford battled with a loose condition in the early stages of the event. On their first stop down pit road, the Doug George led team tried some pit road strategy that returned Jason to the track in the top-10. However, the handling would continue to plague White and his truck as he fell back through the field. Jason was forced to manage his truck throughout the race and safely bring it home with the best finish possible.

The 19th-place finish kept White in the 11th position in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series drivers’ standings – just 14 points out of the tenth position.

“50 Cal” Heads West: The GunBroker.com team will be bringing the truck they nicknamed “50 Cal” to Phoenix International Raceway this week. In honor of the team’s sponsor, GunBroker.com, the GB Racing team uses gun and shooting themed names for most of their trucks – thus the name “50 Cal”. “50 Cal” last raced in Atlanta where Jason was caught up in an accident. The team has repaired the truck and outfitted it with a new body. The truck was also run earlier this year at Rockingham and Dover.

Start No. 150: Jason will be making his 150th career start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series this week in Phoenix. In his previous 149 starts, White has

earned nine top-5 and 21 top-10 finishes. He also has earned one career pole in those starts. In addition to the 149 previous starts in the NASCAR Camping World

Truck Series, Jason has 40 starts in the NASCAR Nationwide Series and two career Sprint Cup Series starts.
