(MOORESVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA) November 14, 2012 – It’s hard to believe but the final race of the 2012 NASCAR Nationwide Series season is upon us. The Ford 300 on Saturday afternoon will close out what has been a very impressive season for the MacDonald Motorsports team. Kentucky, Charlotte, and Kansas partner Thrush & Son Complete Home Improvement and www.HI-Technologies.com will return to Jason Bowles and the team for this weekend’s Ford 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Jason on Homestead…..“Homestead is just a really fun track to race at with the way it has changed over the years,” explained Bowles. “The progressive banking and wide, smooth surface makes for many lanes to race in to see where your car works the best. It will be good to see Allen, Corey, and Michelle again from Thrush & Son Complete Home Improvement Co. at the track this weekend as well. They are some really great people that run a first-class business and I want to give them a good run to finish the season off on a good note.”
Owner point’s battle…..Jason currently sits pretty solidly in 13th in the driver standings, leaving the owner’s points battle as the most important going into this weekend. After Phoenix, the MacDonald Motorsports No. 81 sits 23rd in the owner standings, but just four points behind 21st. With a solid run at Homestead, Jason could move them up into 21st, marking the best finish that MacDonald Motorsports has ever had running in the Nationwide Series.
Thrush & Son returns…..Brookville, OH Company Thrush & Son Complete Home Improvement will be back on the No. 81 of Jason Bowles this weekend in Homestead. Still a truly family owned and ran business, Thrush & Son founder, Allen Thrush, has developed a 100% web-based business software called C.H.I.P. (Complete Home Improvement Program). C.H.I.P. tracks closing rates while also controlling commissions of a company’s sales force and contracted labor costs. This program organizes customers’ information and record keeping. It also configures mailing lists, creates material orders and generates all work orders for projects that are sold. CHIP also offers the capability to track profit and loss for each project that is entered into the program to let an owner or manager know where they stand on that job.
Jason’s thoughts on 2012…..“We have had a really good year this year and shown some flashes of brilliance from time to time as well,” said Jason. “My guys have worked their tails off all season long and it’s really nice to reward them with a strong run on the weekends. 11 times over the year we finished 17th or better which is a very good result for us. I’m hoping to get our first top-10 finish of the season this Saturday at Homestead.”
Jason’s thoughts on Phoenix…..“It’s great to have a good result to show for our teams efforts this weekend,” explained Jason after the race. “We were able to stay on the lead lap all day long which was key, and put us in position to run for a strong finish in the closing laps. I’m so proud of my guys for all the hard work they put in this week out here in the heat. They have been working on the race car since Tuesday here in Phoenix so it’s great to give them a good finish.”
