Petty Holdings Renews Partnership With Daytona International Speedway

DISOwner/Operator of Richard Petty Driving Experience will also offer Exotic cars

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Petty Holdings, LLC. has renewed its partnership with Daytona International Speedway designating Richard Petty Driving Experience as the exclusive consumer NASCAR ride-and-drive program at the “World Center of Racing.” The multi-year agreement also includes Petty’s newly launched Exotic Driving Experience (EDE).  Financial terms were not disclosed.

“Through the years, race fans have been enjoying plenty of thrills on the historic high banks of Daytona International Speedway with Richard Petty Driving Experience,” Daytona International Speedway President Joie Chitwood III said. “Richard Petty Driving Experience is known throughout the country for their excellence in delivering premier ride and drive experiences in stock cars and we’re excited to be able to continue our long-standing relationship.”

“Experiencing the ‘World Center of Racing’ from behind the wheel is a dream come true for any motorsports enthusiast, and this new expanded agreement keeps those dreams alive,” said Mike Bartelli, Chief Marketing Officer of Petty Holdings. “Few things match the experience of driving a 600 HP NASCAR race car at one of the world’s most famous race tracks, but these exotic supercars offer a special thrill of their own.”

EDE made its successful debut for two days in early December, 2012 and will expand to 20 days in 2013.

Featuring supercars by Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Audi, Aston Martin and Nissan, EDE operates on 1.06 miles of the infield road course at Daytona, some of the same asphalt that plays host to the Rolex 24. The course showcases both fast straightaways and sharp turns, making it ideal for testing the breathtaking speed and precise handling of these world-class, high performance driving machines.

RPDE has been providing ride and drive packages in stock cars at Daytona International Speedway since 1997.  In 2012, RPDE was on-track at Daytona International Speedway for 70 days, the most track days on the Speedway’s annual calendar for a single partner.

RPDE offers four different types of ride and drive stock car packages, starting at $135, which can be purchased at the Daytona International Speedway Ticket and Tours Office, online at www.drivepetty.com or by calling 1-800-237-3889.

Exotic Driving Experience programs start at $99. For reservations or more information, call 1-855-822-0149 or visit www.ExoticDriving.com
