TEAM CHEVY FOR THE FANS AT DAYTONA INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY:
· Fans can visit the Team Chevy Racing Display in the Daytona International Speedway (DIS) Fan Midway near the Turn 4 tunnel
· Fans can check out great Chevrolet vehicles including: Sonic, Cruze, Malibu, Volt, Camaro SS Convertible, Corvette Coupe, Corvette Grand Sport, Corvette Z06, Equinox, Traverse and Spark
· At the display fans can also see a variety of show cars and specialty vehicles including: Camaro ZL1, Tony Stewart SEMA Camaro, 2014 Silverado, 2014 Impala, Nationwide Camaro showcar and the all new SS production car
· Also on display is a Chevrolet R07 racing engine complete with electronic fuel injection. Fans can also see a sample of engines, parts and accessories available for purchase from Chevrolet Performance at their local Chevrolet dealer.
· Other activities at the Team Chevy Racing Display include a variety of interactive games for adults and kids.
DRIVER FAN Q/A APPEARANCES:
· Thursday, February 21 – Jamie McMurray will appear on the Team Chevy Stage at 10:45 a.m., followed by Jeff Burton at 11:00 a.m., Jeff Gordon at 11:15 a.m., the drivers of Turner Scott Motorsports at 4:00 p.m. and Ty Dillon at 4:30 p.m.
· Friday, February 22 – The Team Chevy Stage will host appearances by Tony Stewart at 10:00 a.m., Ron Hornaday at noon, followed by Max Gresham and Justin Lofton at 12:15 p.m., Brian Scott at 1:00 p.m., Austin Dillon at 2:30 p.m. and Danica Patrick at 5:00 p.m.
· Saturday, February 23 – The Team Chevy Stage will feature appearances by Jimmie Johnson at 9:45 a.m., followed by Juan Pablo Montoya and the Target Dog and Paul Menard at 12:30 p.m.
· Sunday, February 24 – Kevin Harvick will kick off appearances at the Team Chevy Stage at 9:40 a.m., followed by Ryan Newman and Dale Earnhardt Jr. at 10:00 a.m. and Kasey Kahne at 10:30 a.m.
· Hours of operation: Thurs. Feb. 21 – 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Fri. Feb. 22 – 9:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.; Sat. Feb. 23 – 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m and Sun. Feb. 24 – 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
TEAM CHEVY IN NASCAR SPRINT CUP SERIES (NSCS) COMPETITION:
· Chevrolet has won 36 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) Manufacturers’ Championships.
· Team Chevy drivers have scored 702 wins and 635 poles in NSCS competition
· Danica Patrick captured the 635th pole for the Gold Bowtie and became the first woman in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series competition to win a pole
· In 2012, Chevrolet captured all three Manufacturers’ championship in all of NASCAR’s elite series This feat has been accomplished four times in NASCAR history, each time by Chevrolet
