QUOTE WORTHY

Bayne on Las Vegas Motor Speedway:
“I’ve always liked racing at Vegas, it is a lot like the other 1.5 mile tracks but the bumps in one and two make it unique. I think figuring out how to get the car through that part of the track is key. It also seems like Roush cars are always strongest at 1.5 mile tracks.”

Bayne on the new No.6 chassis:
“New chassis are normally faster because they have all of the lightest and best updates. I’m proud of my guys for being able to duplicate cars almost identical now, because when you get a car like the one they won with last year, you want to be able to build another one with the same exact style.”

Bayne on this season’s momentum:
“When you are fast right out of the box like we were at Daytona it builds a ton of confidence for the whole team. With that said, we need to be able to get the finishes to back it up. Daytona wasn’t what we were looking for with a burnt up rear gear and a 31st place finish. Fortunately, my guys never got down and we went right on to Phoenix and were able to pull off a top 5 to get our momentum back rolling.”

Bayne on a championship run:
“Racing for a championship definitely shifts your mindset, even early in the season. We are still fighting for every position and point, but we can’t take risks that could force us to have a bad finish. Our goal is to be caught up by Texas from our misfortune at Daytona.”
