Kevin Swindell NASCAR Nationwide Series Advance
Auto Club Speedway
Race: Royal Purple 300
NASCAR Nationwide Series: 5 of 33
Track: Auto Club Speedway
Date: March 23, 2013
This weekend, Kevin Swindell and the No. 98 Biagi-DenBeste Racing team head to California looking to make their 2013 NASCAR Nationwide Series debut in the Royal Purple 300 at Auto Club Speedway.
Last Race Recap – Originally Swindell and the No. 98 team planned to make their season debut at Las Vegas Motor Speedway two weeks ago. Unfortunately, the Biagi-DenBeste Racing team had to head home early after rain washed out both practice sessions and forced NASCAR to cancel qualifying.
Auto Club Speedway – This will mark Swindell’s first race at the 2-mile Auto Club Speedway. He has made one ARCA Racing Series start at Michigan International Speedway, a track which is similar to Auto Club, starting fifth and finishing in the 14th position. The team has nine starts at Auto Club Speedway, last racing at the track in 2006. The team has a best starting position of 14th (twice, 2005 and 2006) and a best finish of 16th (2003).
Kevin on Auto Club – “We were all really disappointed that we were unable to race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. That makes the team and I even more excited to get to Auto Club Speedway this weekend and get back on the track. I am looking forward to finally getting our season started and racing at Auto Club for the first time.”
Catch the Race – Coverage from Auto Club Speedway’s Royal Purple 300 will begin on ESPN at 1:30 p.m. PDT (4:30 p.m. EDT) on Saturday. You can also listen to the race on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
