Martinsville Speedway Offers Amazing Action For Incredible Prices

MARTINSVILLE, Va. (March 22, 2013) – The STP® Gas Booster™ 500 is two weeks away, but there is still plenty of time to make sure that you are up-close-and-personal for all the exciting racing Martinsville Speedway will have to offer on April 7.

And if history is any indication, the STP® Gas Booster™ 500 will deliver an amazing amount of action.

The only way to describe the final few laps of last spring’s race is absolutely wild. With just a handful of laps left, it appeared to be a two-car battle between Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson. But on a late restart Clint Bowyer tried to make it three wide going into the first turn. The result: Bowyer, Gordon and Johnson spun and Ryan Newman slipped through the carnage and came home the winner.

And two years ago, the spring race saw a record 31 lead changes in a race that was among most media lists of top five races of 2011. Kevin Harvick passed Dale Earnhardt Jr. late in that race and wound up in victory lane.

“I think race fans understand they are going to see plenty of excitement when they come here,” said Martinsville Speedway President Clay Campbell. “I’m a race fan and I know it always amazes me how exciting races are here. There is always action, either up front or in the middle of the pack, somebody is fighting for position.”

Tickets remain available at low prices for the STP® Gas Booster™ 500, starting at just $37 and ranging to $79.

Martinsville Speedway also offers great youth, teen and family prices. Tickets for youth 12 and under are just $10 in the Clay Earles Tower, rows 15-52. Teen tickets (ages 13-17) in the same area are $25. Youth and teen ticket prices are good with the purchase of an adult ticket.

There are two great Family Four Pack deals to choose from.

The $90 Family Four Pack includes two adult tickets and two youth 12 and under tickets in the Clay Earles Tower, Rows 6-14. The Clay Earles Tower is located above the second turn.

The $120 Family four Pack includes two adult tickets and two youth 12 and under tickets in the Sprint Tower, rows 6-12. The Sprint Tower is located above the first turn.

The STP® Gas Booster™ 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race is scheduled for Sunday, April 7, the day after the Kroger 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race. Pole Day is Friday, April 5.
