James Buescher
No. 31 Rheem Chevrolet News and Notes
Like a Rock…After a very strong qualifying effort that put him in the second starting spot, Buescher found himself jumping out to an early race lead. During the latter half of the race, while in heavy lap traffic, Buescher made contact with a lapped truck, which sent his No. 31 spinning in turns one and two. After falling one lap down and running as low as 23rd place, Buescher and the No. 31 Rheem team battled back to finish on the lead lapin 14th, earning the team’s third top-15 finish of the season.
Track Filled With Memories…Buescher and the No. 31 Rheem team will return to the track where they earned their first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) victory. In dominating fashion, Buescher led 103 of 167 laps en route to his first NCWTS win. Buescher is looking for some of that magic to capture the team’s first top 10 of the season.
Gotta Have a Rheem…Rheem will once again be proudly displayed on the No. 31 entry at Kansas Speedway. Buescher and TSM hope to repeat last year’s win at Kansas and give Rheem their first victory with TSM. Rheem Manufacturing Company (www.rheem.com) is privately held with headquarters in Atlanta. In its 87th year of operation, the company manufactures a full line of high-quality residential and commercial heating and cooling systems; tank, tankless, solar, and heat pump water heaters; swimming pool heaters and commercial boilers throughout North America and world markets. Chassis Info…For the first time since June of last year, TSM will bring out chassis TSM-217. This particular chassis raced at Texas Motor Speedway, where Buescher led 34 laps before being collected in an accident while battling for the lead late in the race.

James Buescher on returning to Kansas Speedway
“Kansas is definitely a special place to me; getting my first Truck Series win there was a dream come true. I look forward to going back and getting the Rheem team back on track. With the track being repaved last summer, I feel like it is a totally different track, but I feel like we can get a handle on the new surface and get the finish this team deserves.”
