To say the bad luck continued for Bobby Tolton would be an accurate fact as he would fail to start Saturday’s feature, while wrecking on the last lap of Sunday’s feature.
He would start the night off by finishing seventh in the first heat. The second heat would be where he would run into trouble as the clutch would break, causing him to miss Saturday’s feature. He would be credited with a 16th place finish.
Sunday would start off to a much better note as Tolton would finish fourth in both of his heats.
As a result, he would start 11th in the feature that night. He would avoid the first two wrecks to move up to the eighth position. However, he would have to go to the back of the field on lap four after going for a spin.
Tolton would begin to make his way through the field – avoiding trouble along the way – to move into the fifth position by lap 20.
Tolton wouldn’t finish the feature, though, as on the last lap, Barry Newman and Brad Pearsall would get together, blocking the track, collecting Tolton in their mess.
