Target Celebrates 100th Win:  The INDYCAR Series returned to “the tricky triangle” for the first time in over 20 years last weekend. Chip Ganassi Racing Teams finished one, two, and three. It was Scott Dixon that gave Target their 100th win at Pocono Raceway while teammates Charlie Kimball finished second and Dario Franchitti finished third. This is the first time a one, two, three sweep has occurred since 1979 and the first time for Chip Ganassi Racing.

Pit Crew Homecoming:  New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) is considered a homecoming for several Earnhardt Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (EGR) team members that hail from New England – No. 1 team: crew chief Kevin “Bono” Manion (Boylston, Mass.); car chief Rich “Haskell” Lavalette (Agawam, Mass.) front tire carrier Brett Morrell (Windham, Maine); rear tire carrier Doug Riepe (Danbury Conn.) – No. 42 team spotter Derek Kneeland (Windham, Maine)

Jamie McMurray and No. 1 McDonald`s Monopoly Team

Daytona Recap: The annual Fourth of July weekend trek to Daytona Beach, Fla. for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) was the third of four superspeedway races for the 2013 season.  The temperatures and the racing action heated up for the Coke Zero 400.  The Cessna Chevy SS, sporting a special red-white-blue patriotic themed paint scheme, rolled off from the 27th position and quickly moved to the front where Jamie McMurray would race for most of the 161-lap race en route to a seventh-place finish.

McMurray at Loudon: Jamie McMurray has 20 previous starts at the NHMS in NSCS competition.  McMurray’s best start of third came in 2003 and his best finish of third came in 2010.  He has four top-10 and two top-five finishes with an average start of 21.6 and average finish of 22.8.  McMurray has completed 5575 of 5968 (93.4%) laps of competition and has led 32 laps in the Granite State.

Monopoly At McDonald’s: MONOPOLY® Game at McDonald’s! It’s back for its 21st year this summer.  This weekend at NHMS, Jamie McMurray will drive a MONOPOLY® Game at McDonald’s Chevrolet SS to promote the start of the in-store game that runs from July 16 – August 12.  There’s even more reason to be excited with two $1 million cash prizes – And one lucky customer could win $1 million instantly on the Big Mac®!

Pass Go!: In the spirit of the MONOPOLY® board game play, each time a player passes go he/she gets paid $200.  This Sunday at NHMS, one lucky fan is going to have the chance to win $200 each time that Jamie McMurray crosses the start/finish line during the Camping World RV Sales 301.  If McMurray completes all 301 laps, that fan will win $60,200.

Juan Pablo Montoya and No. 42 Target Team

Daytona Recap: The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) returned to Daytona International Speedway (DIS) for the traditional Fourth of July race weekend. Juan Pablo Montoya and Team Target qualified in the 14th position and were running with the lead pack when disaster struck. An accident in front of Team Target left Montoya with nowhere to go and was forced back to the garage for repairs. The No. 42 Chevy SS returned to the track and finished out the night in the 39th position.

Montoya at Loudon: Montoya has 12 career starts at NHMS, boosting one top-five and two top-10 finishes. He has won back to back poles at New Hampshire in the fall of 2009 and at the spring 2010 race. He has led 149 laps and has completed 3,532 laps out of 3,560 possible laps (99.2%).  His average starting position is 16.9 and his average finish is 20.2.
