Target House: Target Chip Ganassi Racing drivers Juan Pablo Montoya, Scott Dixon and Dario Franchitti will stop by Target House and St. Jude’s next week to visit with the children and families at the hospital. Joining the dynamic trio will be Olympian hopefuls Shaun White, Roz Groenwoud, Simon Dumont, and Torin Yater Wallace. The Target athletes will participate in a friendly competition of hula hoop, gunny sack races and Pictionary.

Indy Recap: The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) returned to Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) for the 20th running of the Brickyard 400. The 160-lap race was dominated by long green flag runs with only three cautions for 14 laps. Jamie McMurray, the 2010 Brickyard 400 Champion, started the No. 1 Cessna Chevrolet SS from the ninth row and managed an inconsistent handling car to a 15th-place finish.
McMurray at Pocono: Making his 21st start at Pocono Raceway this weekend, McMurray has completed 3,824 laps of a possible 3932 laps at the “Tricky Triangle”, having led 20 laps. McMurray has earned four top-10s, has an average start of 17.1 and an average finish of 21.0. McMurray started from the pole at the 2.5-mile tri-oval in 2005 and his best finish was ninth in 2004 and 2008.
Catching Air: Jamie McMurray will once again drive the No. 1 Cessna Chevrolet SS again this week at Pocono Raceway. On Monday of this week, McMurray traveled to Oshkosh, Wis. as a guest of Cessna Aircraft Company to attend the annual EEA AirVenture at Wittman Regional Airport. Billed as “The World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration”, attended by more than 500,000 aviation enthusiasts from more than 60 countries, the event includes thousands of aircraft such as, warbirds, vintage, home-built and ultra-lights.

Indy Recap: The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) returned to action after an off-week to the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway to finish out the remaining 17 races on the schedule. Juan Pablo Montoya and Team Target qualified in the eighth position and ran in the top-10 for the majority of the 160-lap race. The team overcame handling woes and long green flag runs to finish out the day in the ninth position.
Montoya at Pocono: Montoya will be making his 14 NSCS appearance at Pocono Raceway this weekend. Last year Montoya earned the pole for the spring race. He has led 53 laps at Pocono. His best finish at the “Tricky Triangle” came in 2009 when he placed second. His average start is 15.2 and has an average finish of 18.3. Montoya has one top-five and four top-10 finishes at Pocono.
Year in Review: Montoya has accumulated two top-five and four top-10 finishes after 20 races this season. The Target driver has led 99 laps and has the best average starting position of 15th since 2010 (11.6). He has completed 5561 out of the possible 5709 laps (97.4%).
