Montoya to Receive an Award: The Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) announced the 26th Hispanic Heritage Awards Honorees, which will be celebrated on Sept. 5 at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. The driver of the No. 42 Target Chevrolet SS, Juan Pablo Montoya, will be one of the select few honored at the awards ceremony for his career in sports. The awards, which celebrate Hispanic cultural pride, contributions, and accomplishments, will be broadcast on MundoFOX, Sunday, Sept. 15, at 6:00 p.m. EST/PST.

Michigan Recap: The Irish Hills of Michigan were the setting for race No. 23 on the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) schedule. The No. 1 fast acting Advil team battled through many challenges throughout the weekend, including a blown engine in Friday’s first practice session and a subsequent engine change, to manage a 22nd-place finish in the Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway (MIS).
McMurray at Bristol: McMurray has made 21 NSCS starts at Bristol Motor Speedway. In those starts he has three top-five and nine top-10 finishes. He has completed 10253 of 10513 (97.5%) laps of competition and led 21 laps. He has a best starting position of third (August 2007) and a best finish of third on two occasions (August 2004, August 2010). McMurray has qualified in the top-10 on nine occasions at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS) where he has an average start of 16.4 and an average finish of 16.8.
Keep on Running: Jamie McMurray has never had a DNF (did not finish) in 21 starts at Bristol Motor Speedway. In fact, he has finished on the lead lap 12 times (57.1%) in those starts. Of the eight other drivers currently in the top-20 in NSCS points with more than 21 starts at BMS, McMurray ranks third in percent of laps completed (97.5%), in fact he has finished on the lead lap in eight of the last 10 races including the last four races in a row.

Juan Pablo Montoya and No. 42 Target Team
Michigan Recap: The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) returned to the Irish Hills of Michigan over the weekend. Juan Pablo Montoya and Team Target had a fast car as they were on top of the charts during practice and qualified the No. 42 Chevy SS in the sixth-position. Montoya ran toward the front of the pack for the majority of the 200-lap race and crossed the finish line in the 11th position.
Montoya at Bristol: Montoya has 13 career NSCS starts at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS) which includes three top-10 finishes. The Colombian driver has completed 6483 laps out of the possible 6513 (99.5%) and has led 29 laps. His best starting position is second in the fall 2007 race and his best finishing position is seventh in the fall 2010 race.
Short Track Stat’s: Montoya has 240 career NSCS starts and 39 of those starts come from short track races. He has accumulated one pole, three top-five and 10 top-10 finishes in those races.
