For the 13th race of the 2013 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) season, Ron Hornaday and the No. 9 Smokey Mountain Herbal Snuff team will unload at a track where Hornaday is no stranger to success, Bristol Motor Speedway. Competing at the “World’s Fastest Half-Mile” in all three of NASCAR’s top series, most of Hornaday’s success on the .533-mile track has come in the NCWTS where he has 13 career starts. In those 13 starts, Hornaday has two wins (1997 and 1998), both from the pole position. He has four top-five finishes and eight top-10 finishes with a 10.9 average start and a 11.2 average finish. Hornaday has completed 2,541 of 2,569 attempted laps for 98.9 percent laps completed and has led a total of 388 laps in the NCWTS.

Smokey Mountain Herbal Snuff returns as the primary sponsor this week for Hornaday’s No. 9 Chevrolet Silverado for the UNOH 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway. For the third time this season Hornaday will have AKL on board as an associate sponsor for this weekend’s UNOH 200.

Catch the UNOH 200 from Bristol Motor Speedway on PRN, Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 90 and Fox Sports 1 on Wednesday, August 21, beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET with the race set to start at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Thoughts from Driver Ron Hornaday:

“Bristol is a track that breeds hard short-track racing.  Bruce Cook and the Smokey Mountain Herbal Snuff team have been working harder than ever to give me a great Chevy truck to win at the fastest half-mile in the world.  I have had some great races at Bristol and look forward to fighting for NTS Motorsports’ first victory of 2013.”
