Tied for 22nd in Owners’ Standings…After posting a 16th-place finish at Bristol Motor Speedway, the No. 14 Hefty®/Reynolds® team jumped three positions to 22nd in the NASCAR Owner Standings. They are currently tied with the No. 87 team.
Jeff Green to Again Pilot the No. 14 Camry at AMS: Jeff Green will return to the driver seat of the No. 14 Camry for Saturday night’s prime time event at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Green is once again filling in for the Hefty®/Reynolds® Race team’s regular driver, Eric McClure, who is still recovering from an illness that left him hospitalized for eight days prior to last weekend’s event at BMS.
AMS Fast Facts… This weekend’s Great Clips/ Grit Chips 300 at AMS will mark Green’s 363rd Nationwide Series start and his 26th at the 1.5-mile track. Of the 25 races Green has participated in at AMS, 11 of them came while driving in the Nationwide Series. In those 11 starts, the Owensboro, KY native has one top-five and one top-10 finish. He’s completed 1,575 laps and has an average finish of 23.2.
Chassis No. 314 … Crew Chief Todd Myers has selected chassis No. 314 for this weekend’s event at AMS. This chassis was last run by McClure at Indianapolis Motor Speedway where the team was credited with a 31st-place finish.
Silver Reynolds Wrap Scheme Returns…The No. 14 Camry will return to the silver and blue colors of the Reynolds Wrap® brand for this weekend’s 195-lap event. Saturday’s event will mark the fourth time this season the Reynolds Wrap® brand will adorn the hood of the TriStar Motorsports entry.
Tune-In: Saturday night’s race from Atlanta Motor Speedway will be televised live on ESPN 2 beginning at 7:00 p.m. (ET). PRN (Performance Racing Network) and Sirius Channel 90 will also broadcast the event live on Saturday, August 31, 2013.
