NASCAR Canadian Tire Series At Kawartha Postponed

Pinty’s 250 Pushed Back To Sunday With Championship On The Line

FRASERVILLE, Ont. (Sept. 21, 2013) – The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 championship will have to wait another day as the 2013 season finale scheduled for Saturday at Kawartha Speedway has been postponed due to inclement weather.

The Pinty’s 250 has been rescheduled to Sunday, Sept. 22 with the green flag scheduled for 3:15 p.m. ET. Practice is slated for 10-11 a.m. and qualifying for the 26-car field is set for 1 p.m. Grandstands will open at 10 a.m. and the on-track autograph session will get underway at 1:45 p.m.

D.J. Kennington carries a five-point advantage over Scott Steckly into the race as the pair of two-time champions look to become the series’ first three-time titlist. The defending champion Kennington also is trying to become the first driver to claim back-to-back crowns. Jason Hathaway at 22 points behind Kennington is mathematically alive for the championship, as well.

Practice and qualifying will be streamed on TSN.ca. Click HERE to follow the action on Sunday.
