· Milestone
o Saturday’s start at Texas Motor Speedway marks Pastrana’s 40th overall NNS start. Pastrana made his first NNS start in the 2012 spring race at Richmond International Raceway (RIR). His first start with Roush Fenway Racing came in 2012, in the fall race at RIR.
· Texas Connections
o El Paso native, David Roth, tire specialist for the No. 60 Ford Mustang returns to his home state of Texas. Rear tire carrier, Eric Wallace, of Austin, visits his home state this weekend as well.
· Recapping Charlotte
o Pastrana and the No. 60 team battled to overcome a 31st starting position, climbing into the mid-twenties, before debris on the grille caused the team to make an unscheduled pit stop. Pastrana would ultimately finish 24th.
o He remains 14th in the NNS point standings.
QUOTE WORTHY
Pastrana on racing at Texas:
“Texas was a really challenging race for me the first time out, but I’ve had a lot more mile-and-a-half practice. I really enjoy the bumps and worn out pavement, so I’m optimistic that the second time will be a lot more successful than the first. Plus, all my friends and I hung out and made some friends with all the fans in the infield when we watched the Cup race, so I have to give them something to cheer for!”
