Edsel Ford II, Roger Penske, Jack Roush to judge show; 75 Cars signed up to participate Sunday
MIAMI – Homestead-Miami Speedway will host a Ford Classic Car Show in conjunction with the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Ford EcoBoost 400 championship race on Sunday (Nov. 17). Track President Matthew Becherer made the announcement.
Ford Motor Company Board Member Edsel Ford II will serve as a judge for the “Best in Show” contest, along with Penske Racing Owner Roger Penske and Roush Fenway Racing’s Co-owner Jack Roush.
The show will be held at the track’s lower display (inside the admission gates), and will feature more than 75 cars that have already signed up to participate. Any fan with an admission ticket can visit the car show area.
Participation is open to anyone with a show-ready Ford automobile and includes a ticket package that comes complete with a reserved spot in the show and one ticket to the season-ending Ford EcoBoost 400 race. Tickets are going fast for Sunday’s Ford EcoBoost 400. Tickets also remain for the other two championship races during Ford Championship Weekend – Friday night’s Ford EcoBoost 200, where a champion will be crowned in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, and Saturday afternoon’s Ford EcoBoost 300, the NASCAR Nationwide Series championship finale.
