QUOTE WORTHY

Edwards quotes on the Ford 400:

“Ford championship weekend at Homestead has always been good to us. As a team, we’ve always been able to perform well at that race. I love going down to south Florida and I had the opportunity to meet some fire fighters and first responders at the Miami-Dade fire district at the start of the chase, so hopefully we get to have a few of those guys and girls out at the race track. Who doesn’t like to go to Florida in November? It’s a beautiful place, they make it a fun event and the race track itself has always been one of my favorite; The pavement is worn out, you can slide the cars sideways, there are three or four distinct grooves in the corners, you can ride right up by the fence or down by the bottom of the racetrack, so to drive it’s a really fun weekend. Our chase has obviously not gone the way we wanted and I don’t’ think we really have anything to lose points wise there. So for us, especially coming off such a disappointing final two laps in Phoenix, we want to wrap this season up standing in victory lane and that’s what we plan on doing. We’re going there for one thing and that’s to win.”
