Ragan Knows No. 34 Can Be Racy at Richmond

No. 34 Taco Bell Driver Has Three Top-Five Finishes at Short Track

STATESVILLE, APRIL 22, 2014 – David Ragan, driver of the No. 34 Taco Bell Ford, comments on racing at Richmond International Raceway:

“I love Richmond. I think it’s a blast. I’ve got a couple top-fives up there and have had some shots to win. Man, it’s a lot of fun to go up there with a good racecar. It seems like anyone with a top-10 or top-12 car, depending on strategy with tires at the end of the race, you can have a shot to win. We had a good run there in our CSX Ford for this race last year and we were pretty competitive. So I think we can go back with our Taco Bell Ford this week and have a good weekend.

“I’m going to run the Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown in South Boston first (on Thursday), so I’ll have a little warm-up before we get to Richmond on Friday. I’ll be ready to go.”

JUST THE FACTS: Ragan has 14 Sprint Cup career starts at Richmond International Raceway … He has three top-five finishes at Richmond … His best finish at the .75-mile oval is third (2007) … Ragan will appear at the Track Takeover program on the frontstretch Saturday at 3:15 p.m.
