Scott Steckly Reveals New Look for No. 22 Canadian Tire Dodge

Last week, Scott Steckly and 22 Racing unveiled a brand new look for the No. 22 Canadian Tire Dodge for the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. Rather than going white and red as they’ve gone past years, Steckly’s car will primarily be black and white for the upcoming season.

“I really like the new look,” Steckly said.  “We started talking about making the change in January and we went to Jerry Hall to come up with some designs for us.  He made it a tough choice with all the great concepts he did.  When we showed them to Canadian Tire it was a majority vote to make it happen.”

Steckly is looking for his fourth NASCAR Canadian Tire Series championship this season after posting four wins and nine top-10 finishes in 12 races last year

Steckly announced back in February at the Canadian Motorsports Expo that Canadian Tire Series would be sponsoring, marking their sixth season on board the No. 22 Dodge.

“As a longtime supporter of motorsport in Canada and the Official Automotive Retailer of NASCAR in Canada, Canadian Tire is committed to growing the sport nationally, both at the amateur and professional levels,” Landon French, Vice President, Sport Partnerships, Canadian Tire, said in February. “We’re thrilled to be working with Scott for the sixth straight season.  He and his crew are among the most accomplished and experienced teams in the series, they truly embody the sport, and we look forward to cheering them on again.”

Steckly will be one of the drivers at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park on May 8th for the first official test of the season. The 2014 season kicks off on May 18th at CTMP on Victoria Day Weekend.
