BRIAN VICKERS, No. 55 Aaron’s Dream Machine Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing

Starting Position:  10th

How was the qualifying session?

“It was a mixed bag.  Our first lap in the second round, I hit something in (turns) one and two and the car took off up the race track and damaged our splitter a little bit.  That hurt us because then we had to go out again in the second round really late and then all of our stuff was really hot going into the third round.  There was just not much time to cool it down.  It was great to make it to the third round, but we had a bad position just going into it because we were so late in the second round and we also had more cycles on our tires than anyone else.  Really proud of the guys.  I don’t know if we could have run that pole speed under best conditions.  We just need more speed in the car all the way around the race track to make that kind of lap.  I think we’re close.  I think we could have been better than 10th if we had not had that happen and had cold equipment and tires and cold engine going into round three whether it would have been fourth, fifth, sixth I don’t know.  All the guys did a great job and we just need to find a little more speed.”

KYLE BUSCH, No. 18 M&M’s Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Starting Position:  14th

CLINT BOWYER, No. 15 5-hour ENERGY Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing

Starting Position:   15th

What happened in the second round of qualifying to keep you from transferring to the final round?

“They just got to drafting there at the end and we come up short.  To start 15th is fine — I’ll take that.  I think we’ll be just fine in the race on Sunday.”

MATT KENSETH, No. 20 Dollar General Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing

Starting Position:  21st

What happened in the second round of qualifying?

“We just weren’t fast enough to get to the third round.  We went and made a run and we were too tight then didn’t have time to get it cooled down to try to make another run.”

DENNY HAMLIN, No. 11 FedEx Office Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing

Starting Position:  29th

How was the car in practice compared to qualifying?

“Our FedEx Camry was good in practice earlier, but when we went out to qualify we were just too tight over in (turns) three and four.  We lost speed there and just couldn’t transfer.”

BRETT MOFFITT, No. 66 Toyota Let’s Go Places Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing
Starting Position:  34th

ALEX BOWMAN, No. 23 Dr. Pepper Toyota Camry, BK Racing
Starting Position:  41st

COLE WHITT, No. 26 Speed Stick Toyota Camry, BK Racing
