EARNHARDT 23rd IN STA-GREEN 200

LOUDON, N.H. – Jeffrey Earnhardt rallied from a starting spot deep in the field to finish 23rd in Saturday’s Sta-Green 200 Nationwide Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Earnhardt started 37th on a track that makes passing very difficult. Still nursing a hurt shoulder, Earnhardt exited the car on the first pit stop and was replaced by relief driver Matt Dibenedetto, who finished the race.

“We got in a hole with that starting spot, but the car ran pretty good after we got rolling,” Earnhardt said. “We were looking for a better finish, but, with Matt’s help, we got a lot of laps in and learned some stuff.”

Earnhardt stayed 17th in Nationwide points as he continues his first full season in the series.

Sprint Cup regular Brad Keselowski led 152 laps and won the race.

The series next races at Chicagoland Speedway July 19.
