Carlos Contreras, No. 44 38 Special/Ingersoll Rand/Voli Camry Pre-Race Report Watkins Glen

Road Course Warrior is back at Watkins Glen: Carlos Contreras is back behind the wheel of the No. 44 38 Special/Ingersoll Rand/Voli Camry this weekend for the second NNS road course race of 2014. Contreras has two previous starts at the 11-turn road course circuit, and has an average starting position of 20.0 and an average finishing position of 32.0. Earlier this season, Contreras finish 15th at Road America in the No. 44 Camry and is ready to take on The Glen this weekend.

Contreras’ thoughts on Watkins Glen: “I am excited to be back in the Ingersoll Rand No. 44 Camry for these two, back to back, road course races,” said Contreras. “I feel we left a lot on the table at Road America due to contact on the final lap, so I am eager to get back at it with the crew and have a nice finish for them and our sponsors; 38 Special, Ingersoll Rand, Voli Vodka and Global Aircraft Solutions.”

No. 44 38 Special/Ingersoll Rand/Voli Camry:Crew Chief Greg Conner and the No. 44 38 Special/Ingersoll Rand/Voli crew will unload chassis No.310 for Saturday’s night race. This chassis’ last run was at Road America with Contreras behind the wheel.

Additional Notes:

–  The Zippo 200 will mark Contreras’ 25th career start in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.
– Contreras will be at the NASCAR Nationwide Series Autograph session on Friday, August 8th at                4:30PM
