Mike Bliss, No. 19 TriStar Motorsports Camry Pre-Race Report Watkins Glen

Ready to turn Left and Right at The Glen: After a 16th place finish last weekend in the “American Heartland”, Mike Bliss and the No. 19 TriStar Motorsports Camry are ready to take on the meandering 11-turn road course in Watkins Glen, New York. With seven previous NNS starts at the 3.4-mile course, Bliss has an average starting position of 24.1 and an average finishing position of 23.0. After his 10th place finish at Road America in June, Bliss is ready to battle the left and right turns at Watkins Glen International.

Bliss’s thoughts on Watkins Glen:  “I really like road course racing. After racing on so many ovals, making a right turn here and there spices things up. We had a great finish in our last road course attempt, so I’m looking forward to our efforts this weekend.”

No. 19 Toyota Camry: Crew Chief Paul Clapprood will unload chassis No. 11 for the Zippo 200. This chassis was last run at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Additional Notes:

– The Zippo 200 will mark Mike Bliss’ 333rd career start in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

– This weekend will mark Bliss’ 699th career combined NASCAR starts. (333 NNS) (163 NSCS)
