David Starr, No. 44 NCCER/Build Your Future Camry Pre-Race Report Bristol Motor Speedway

David Starr ready to go Short-Track Racing: David Starr will be back behind the wheel of the No. 44 NCCER/Build Your Future Camry this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway. Starr has two previous NASCAR Nationwide Series starts at “The Fastest Half-Mile” speedway. He has an average starting position of 30.5 and an average finishing position of 36.0. In his seventh race with the TriStar Motorsports crew, Starr is ready to go from running super speedways to running a short-track race.

Starr’s thoughts on Bristol Motor Speedway: “I love coming to Bristol, because the racing is fierce and physically demanding. BMS is one of my favorite tracks on the NNS circuit. I’m excited to be partnering with NCCER and to have the opportunity to represent the construction industry amongst the youth of America with the BYF national education and recruitment initiative.”

No. 44 NCCER/Build Your Future Camry: Crew Chief Greg Conner and the No. 44 crew will unload chassis No.117 for Friday nights race. This chassis’ last run was at Dover International Speedway.

Additional Notes:

–      The Food City 250 will mark Starr’s 37th career start in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

–       Starr will be at the Kingsport Center for Higher Education on Wednesday, August 20th with the              No. 44 NCCER/Build Your Future show car. Starr will be speaking with students and signing

     autographs at the event.
