Biffle Finishes 23rd in Chase Opener at Chicagoland Speedway

JOLIET, Ill. (Sept. 14, 2014) – Greg Biffle had his hands full to kick off the Chase in Chicago with a No. 16 3M ScotchBlue Ford that lacked grip.  Biffle started 20th after rain washed out qualifying and NASCAR set the field on practice times.  Throughout the race Biffle battled handling and long green flag runs cost him laps on the track, resulting in a 23rd-place finish.

Biffle started the race 20th in his No. 16 3M ScotchBlue Ford and did all he could to keep up with the changing track conditions.  Biffle’s Ford lacked turn, so the team tried shim, wedge and track bar adjustments to help, but the gains came too late in the race.  The end of the race was caution-filled and with fresh tires, Biffle was able to make up some ground in the closing laps to cross the finish line 23rd.

The finish lines Biffle up 15th in the Chase standings moving on to Loudon.
