Biffle Battles Back From Two Laps Down to Finish 16th at Loudon

Loudon, N.H. (Sept. 21, 2014) – New Hampshire Motor Speedway was the site of the second race of the Chase and a rally back from being two laps down to a 16th-place lead-lap finish for Biffle.  Biffle started 26th in his No. 16 Ortho Fire Ant Killer Ford and battled handling over long green flag runs, going two laps down.  A caution filled second half of the race helped Biffle get back on the lead lap to finish 16th and now he sits tied for 13th in the Chase standings.

The second race of the Chase started off with long green flag runs.  Biffle started 26th and struggled with handling, costing him two laps to the field in the first half of the race.  Despite being two laps down, the No. 16 team battled on.

The second half of the race was caution filled and gave the team many opportunities to pit for adjustments and allowed Biffle to be rewarded the “lucky dog” twice, ultimately putting the No. 16 Ortho Fire Ant Killer Ford back on the lead lap with 50 laps to go.

Handling woes continued, but with fresher tires Biffle was able to make some ground on the multiple restarts that ensued in the closing laps.  By the time the checkered flag fell Biffle crossed the finish 16th, moving up to 13th in the Chase standings with one race remaining before the first four cars are eliminated from moving to the second round.
