THE NEWS AND NOTES
THE Q & A
The No. 22 Hertz Ford Mustang
· TIME TO START A NEW STREAK: Coming into the May event at Dover International Speedway, Joey Logano had won four-straight NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) race at the “Monster Mile.” However, that streak was snapped when Logano finished third at Dover earlier this year. Despite the third place finish, Logano still owns four wins, seven top-five and eight top-10 finishes in 11-career NNS races at the track.
· AND KEEP ONE STREAK GOING: With eight NNS starts under his belt in 2014, Logano has earned one pole, six top-five and seven top-10s. However, Logano is still looking for his first victory of the year. The 24-year-old driver is looking to extend his streak of consecutive seasons with at least one NNS win to seven. Since Logano entered the series in 2008, he has won at least one race each season and owns 21-career wins. Mark Martin holds the all-time record with nine-straight years with an NNS victory.
· AT THE SPEED OF HERTZ: The Hertz Corporation, one of the worlds’ leading car rental and transportation companies, will adorn the side of the No. 22 Ford Mustang this weekend at Dover. Hertz, who has been a proud supporter of Team Penske and the No. 22 Mustang since the beginning of 2013, went to Victory Lane with Logano in both of his victories at Dover in 2013 and won as a co-primary sponsor with Logano at Texas Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series earlier this season.
· IN THE RECORD BOOK: Through his seven years and 132-career NNS races, Logano has amassed quite the place in the records book. He sits sixth on the all-time pole list, 13th on the all-time wins list, fifth on the all-time winning percentage list (15.9%) and fourth in consecutive years with a pole.

DO YOU FEEL LIKE THERE IS ANY ADDED PRESSURE TO GET A WIN IN THE NATIONWIDE SERIES IN YOUR LAST FEW STARTS THIS SEASON?
“I really want to get a win and I think we will. I would like to extend that streak. I’d love to be able to fight with my teammate (Brad) and see if one of us can get to nine-straight years with Nationwide Series wins and match Mark’s record. And I think we can do it, especially this weekend at Dover. It’s always been one of my favorite race tracks and the one I’ve run the best at. I just want to get this No. 22 team in Victory Lane again and help extend the point lead in the Owners’ Championship. That’s pretty important to all of us right now.”
JEREMY BULLINS, CREW CHIEF, NO. 22 HERTZ FORD
HOW DOES IT FEEL TO HAVE JOEY BACK IN THE CAR THIS WEEKEND AT DOVER?
“I’m happy to have Joey back in the car. We really want to get him a win this year. We felt like we were pretty close a couple of times with him already – at Michigan we should have won and at Daytona; he had a shot and just didn’t get the help he needed. If there is any track that Joey is capable of going out there and just dominating at and winning the race, I think its Dover for sure. We just need to give him a good piece, and we can count on him to do the rest on the race track.”
