Michael Annett Pre-Race Notes and Quotes: Dover
MOORESVILLE, N.C. (September 17, 2014) – NASCAR Sprint Cup Series rookie Michael Annett will drive the No. 7 CypressHQ Chevrolet SS this weekend on the concrete mile surface at Dover International Speedway.
This will mark Annett’s second Cup Series start at the Delaware racetrack. In NASCAR Nationwide Series competition, Annett finished inside the top half of the field in all 10 of his Dover starts, which included a third-place finish in the fall 2012 event. He averaged a 13.5-place finish during that span.
Dover was also the site of the first win for Kevin “Bono” Manion, Annett’s crew chief at Tommy Baldwin Racing, coming in the 2007 spring race with driver Martin Truex.
The race will air live Sunday, September 28 at 2:15 p.m. Eastern on ESPN.
