MOORESVILLE, N.C. (November 5, 2014) – Reed Sorenson will pilot the No. 36 Chevrolet SS this weekend in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Phoenix International Raceway. FLASR, the 4-oz. pocketsize, portable spittoon, will join Sorenson and Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) as the primary sponsor partner for the event.
Sorenson has 10 previous starts at Phoenix. Prior to the track’s reconfiguration in 2011, he scored three top-20 finishes, including a 12th-place run in 2009. He has six career top-10 finishes at Phoenix in NASCAR Nationwide Series competition.
In their second race together at Phoenix this past March, Sorenson and his TBR team finished 31st.
The race airs live Sunday, Nov. 9 at 3:15 p.m. Eastern on ESPN.
REED SORENSON QUOTE:
“There really isn’t another track like Phoenix on the entire circuit. It’s its own beast. When we were there earlier this season, Todd [Parrott, crew chief] and I were still getting to know each other. I think we showed at Dover and Richmond that we’re able to get on some of these smaller, unique tracks and have good runs. We’re certainly capable of one this weekend, which I hope we can do for our new partner, FLASR.”
