Twin Peaks Supporting Korbin Forrister at Phoenix

MOORESVILLE, NC – November 6, 2014 –Korbin Forrister returns to the seat of the SS Green Light Racing #08 Twin Peaks Chevrolet as the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series makes it’s annual trip to the Phoenix International Raceway for The Lucas Oil 150 on Friday evening.

The young Georgian brings a streak of back-to-back lead lap finishes in his previous two starts in the NCWTS at Eldora and Talladega, two tracks that could not be more different than the mile in the desert. Phoenix marks the Forrister’s sixth start of the season. “We had a pretty good race at Talladega, we just had some bad luck at the end. I got up to eleventh on the white flag lap and then I got a big hit from behind that knocked me right down onto the apron and I couldn’t find a spot to get back up in line. We still finished nineteenth, but should have been better than that.”

Friday night will be Forrister’s first trip to the D-shaped track just Southwest of downtown Phoenix, AZ. “I’ve never been to Phoenix, but I have run it on the simulator. I’m really looking forward to it because it looks like a fun track,” Korbin said. “Each time we get in a truck I get a little more comfortable and feel like we are getting better every race.”

“Twin Peaks Restaurants will be supporting us this weekend,” Forrister continued. “It’s a restaurant chain with about 60 locations, many in the Southwest. There is a Twin Peaks Restaurant about thirty minutes from the track in Phoenix.”

“I want to thank Bobby (Dotter) and all the SS Green Light Racing guys, they have all helped me out a ton this year. We have made progress each race and I can’t thank the guys enough for helping me learn how to drive these trucks. I’m looking forward to getting out there this weekend.”

The Lucas Oil 150 is the second last race of the 2014 NCWTS schedule and is the 334th consecutive NCWTS start for the SS Green Light Racing team, a streak that dates back to 2001.

Practice for the Lucas Oil 150 will be Thursday, November 6th from 1:00 p.m. to 1:55 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. On Friday, November 7th qualifying begins at 2:45 p.m. and the green flag will fly on the Lucas Oil 150 6:30 p.m. Mountain time. The race will be shown live on FOX Sports 1 and will also be broadcast via the Motor Racing Network and on SIRIUSXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
