G&K Services Returns As Cassill Sponsor

GAFFNEY, S.C. – G&K Services will return in 2015 as a full-time associate sponsor with multiple primary sponsorship in select markets with driver Landon Cassill and the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller team, an operation that showed remarkable strength and improved results in the 2014 season.

The 2015 season will be G&K’s sixth with JD Motorsports, making their partnership one of the steadiest and most enduring in the newly named Xfinity Series.

“We’ve had a great partnership with the folks at G&K,” said team owner Johnny Davis. “Their participation with our team has been beneficial to both sides, and it really showed this year as we ran well in so many races. We’re looking forward to what the future holds.”

A review of the 2014 season shows the G&K Services No. 01 team and Cassill as the best non-Sprint Cup-affiliated operation in the Xfinity garage area.

Cassill, who also ran the full Sprint Cup schedule in ’14, finished 12th in the Nationwide (now Xfinity) driver standings. He was 10th in points for several weeks in the middle of the season despite racing against much heavier-funded teams with connections to Cup racing.

In the owner standings, Davis finished a solid 17th.

Cassill, who won $918,212, had top-10 race runs at Talladega, Iowa and Road America. After the first five races of the season, he was no lower in points than 14th and would have finished higher if not for several mechanical issues late in the season.

“Everything is set here for another good year,” Cassill said. “This team gets everything it can from every dollar and puts great cars on the track. I think we showed what we can do in 2014 with some really good runs, several top-10 finishes and other races in which we would have had top 10s if not for a few unforeseen on-track incidents. We’re looking for more good runs next season.”

G&K’s return to JD Motorsports with Gary Keller gives the team a solid foundation as it builds toward the February start of the 2015 season. Davis said the team continues to seek additional sponsors for other races on the 2015 schedule. “We’ve shown the value this team puts forward for sponsors,” Davis said. “We’re more than ready to carry along some more folks on a fast ride next season.”
