Greg Biffle Looks for Strong Season in 2015

Key Additions, new ‘attitude’ have veteran driver ‘excited’ for new season

CONCORD, N.C. (Feb. 11, 2015) – Roush Fenway Racing driver Greg Biffle heads into the 2015 season on a quest to become the first driver to ever hoist the championship trophy in all three of NASCAR major series.  Crew Chief Matt Puccia – who has led Biffle to Chase berths in each of the last three seasons – returns at the helm of the No. 16 team, along with several other familiar faces on the team.  While the 2014 season brought an array of challenges for the team, Biffle and his crew fought to the end, earning their sixth Chase berth in the last seven years.

“I’ve got a lot of confidence in the changes Roush has made in the off season and think we have things headed in the right direction,” said Biffle.  “Roush Fenway has made key investments in the competition department adding knowledgeable people like Kevin Kidd and Mark McArdle, and I’m ready to get back to the track and see what we’ve got for this season.

“In addition there is just a great ‘feel’ in the air at Roush Fenway,” added Biffle. “There is a great sense of cooperation and everyone is dedicated to getting our Fords up front – which is what we intend to do out of the gate at Speedweeks in Daytona.”

The season kicks off this weekend with the Sprint Unlimited at Daytona International Speedway.  Daytona is a special track for Biffle as it was the site of his first NASCAR Sprint Cup pole position in the 2004 Daytona 500 and first win in July of 2003.  Biffle was also part of the all Ford starting row for the February 2012 Daytona 500.

Biffle won NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) and NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) championships in 2000 and 2002, and needs only a coveted NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) title to post the first triple-crown in the long history of the sport.

Roush Fenway Racing is the winningest team in NASCAR history, fielding multiple teams in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and NASCAR XFINITY Series competition with drivers Greg Biffle, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Trevor Bayne, Elliott Sadler, Ryan Reed, Chris Buescher and Bubba Wallace. Now in its 28th season, Roush Fenway is a leader in driver development, having launched the careers for many of the top drivers in the sport. Off-track, Roush Fenway is a leader in NASCAR marketing solutions, pioneering motorsport’s first team-focused TV show and producing multiple award-winning digital and experiential marketing campaigns. Roush Fenway is co-owned by Jack Roush, the winningest team owner in NASCAR history and Fenway Sports Group, parent company of Major League Baseball’s Boston Red Sox and English Premier League’s Liverpool F.C.
