ADVANCE NOTES

·         Wallace at Atlanta Motor Speedway

o   Bubba Wallace will make his first NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend.

o   Wallace races the same chassis that Trevor Bayne used last season at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Darlington Raceway, Dover International Speedway in the spring and fall races and Indianapolis Motor Speedway.  This chassis never finished lower than ninth last season, earning its best finish of second at Dover in the spring.

·         Speedway Success

o   In 23 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) starts at intermediate tracks, from one to two miles, Wallace has earned two wins (Gateway Motorsports Park and Homestead-Miami Speedway), one pole, six top-fives and 13 top-10s, while leading 510 laps.

·         On the Car

o   The No. 6 Mustang carries the Ford EcoBoost colors this weekend in Daytona.  Ford EcoBoost technology combines smaller overall size with turbocharging, direct injection and variable valve timing to bring customers outstanding performance and fuel economy.

·         Recapping Daytona

o   In his first start with Roush Fenway Racing, Wallace found the lead for a total of 18 laps at Daytona International Speedway, the second highest of the day.  Wallace and a strong No. 6 Ford EcoBoost Mustang raced up front for the majority of the afternoon, before being collected in an accident with seven laps remaining.  Team and driver battled hard to finish the day in 12th in the inaugural race for the XFINITY Series.

QUOTE WORTHY

Bubba Wallace on racing at Atlanta Motor Speedway:

“Atlanta will be a fun challenge for me.  I am excited to make my first laps there in a Ford Mustang.  Coming off a decent finish last week, my guys and I are still pumped about our season.  We’re looking to rebound and get our No. 6 Ford EcoBoost Mustang in Victory Lane.  Atlanta will be exciting late in race runs as the tire wear and balance of the car start to go away.  We will be on top of it all and make sure we are in a suitable spot at the end.”
